One of these is an online booking report, which displays the list of people held at the county's adult detention center. The information is published daily to reflect changes. Inmates who have been released from custody are removed from the list. The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office also maintains a roster of inmates held at correctional facilities (workhouse).

Members of the public who wish to find Ramsey County residents held in state correctional facilities can do so using the offender locator tool provided by the Minnesota Department of Correction. It provides access to records of incarcerated individuals recently released from prison but still under supervision. Users can search using an inmate's name or any known MNDOC offender ID. Inmate searches can also be done using third-party locator tools. The non-governmental platforms provide access to online databases containing public records aggregated from multiple jurisdictions. Depending on the platform and the type of search, using these services may require paying a fee.

How to Send Money to a Ramsey County Inmate

Members of the public who wish to send money to inmates held at the Ramsey County Correctional Facility can do so by making payments in person or online. In-person payments are processed at the front lobby kiosk of the Ramsey County Correctional Facility, open from Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Acceptable payment options include credit/debit cards or cash. Once processed, funds are made available almost immediately.

Individuals who wish to send money online can do so using the Inmate Canteen service. First-time users must create an account using an email address and password. The service also provides additional options for emailing or texting inmates.

How to Visit a Ramsey County Inmate

Visitations at the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center are conducted via video. All visitors are required to create a user account with the SecurusTech service. Visitors must also submit a request, which needs to be approved before scheduling occurs. Visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. Onsite visiting is also provided at the Ramsey County Correctional Facility. Visiting is provided via video using the NCIC inmate communication service.

Visitors can be conducted either remotely or in person while visiting the Adult detention center. A video monitor is provided in the detention center's lobby for in-person visits. The jail maintains different visiting hours for onsite visits and remote visits. Onsite visits are permitted only on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, while remote visits are allowed daily on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Visiting for either option is between 12:30 p.m. and 2:20 p.m.

Public visitors are required to provide a valid photo ID. Visitors must also follow the rules set by the facility, some of which include avoiding any see-through or suggestive clothing, arriving on time, and refraining from bringing in any food or drink item. Visitors who break the rules risk losing future privileges or being banned.

How to Send Jail Mail in Ramsey County

Inmates detained at the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center can send or receive mail using the US postal service. However, all mail is opened and inspected for contraband. Mail correspondence between inmates is not allowed. Inmates are only permitted to send or receive mail from non-convicted persons.
